Our aim at Justintensive is to deliver high-quality, professional intensive driving courses across the UK, with a strong focus on serving learners in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, and Lowestoft throughout Suffolk. We are committed to helping students gain confidence, develop safe driving skills, and achieve test success in the shortest possible time, without compromising on standards.
By working with experienced instructors and offering flexible course options tailored to individual needs, we ensure every learner receives expert tuition, excellent value, and a supportive learning experience from start to finish.
About Us
Since 2015 we have been helping people to find the right course and instructor to suit the requirements and availability of our students. Beginning as a small driving school, teaching students for 2 hours at a time over a period of months soon showed to be an inefficient way to teach people to drive.
After introducing the intensive course and finding the popularity increasing, the website was created to provide more information about the process, display the options clearly, and to make people more aware of how they can be in control of their learning experience.
Our training is conducted by instructors across the East of England and we thoroughly discuss the requirements of any learner driver, asking the important questions to ensure that we tailor the experience to your needs, and find the right instructor for you. There are many similar services available, we know that, but we don’t believe any intensive course provider in the UK accommodates the learners needs in the way that we do, and that is the core of the service that we are proud to provide.
You choose:
- when you wish to take your driving lessons
- where you wish to take your lessons and test (Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds are two common locations for Suffolk but we can also arrange lessons in other areas such as Lowestoft, Sudbury, Aldeburgh, Clare or Woodbridge)
- what type of intensive or semi-intensive driving course you want
We will arrange the practical test, finding the earliest possible date to suit you.
Our courses will suit either a total beginner, those who are nearly ready for a test or those who need a retest.
Why take an Intensive Driving Course ?
By taking one or two lessons a week, much of what you learn in that hour is soon forgotten and so 10 to 15 minutes of the next lesson will be taken up recapping what has been learnt previously. So out of 10 hours of lessons, 2 hours could be used up on repeating what has already been covered.
On a one week intensive driving course, very little is forgotten as learning takes place over six hours per day plus 2 half hour breaks. This means that everything stays fresh in your memory for the next day.
What do we do?
We will advise you on how many hours you’re likely to need.
We will manage your expectations for the learning experience and what to expect from instructors.
Fully explain the process, and prepare you for what to expect from your learning experience.
We will book and manage your driving test.
We will discuss your requirements and any special requests or concerns you may have, to put you at ease before starting your training.
We will find the right instructor for you, with the right type of vehicle, in the right area, with the availability that suits you.
We will assess instructors based on their feedback and qualifications to ensure that anyone you learn with is DBS checked and a fully qualified ADI.
Overall, we will help to ensure that the whole process is conducted smoothly and will be here to help you with any issues at any stage of the process.
We can also provide insurance against a missed or failed test, to reduce the pressure of your first attempt with us.

How Does it Work?
Taken over 4 days, this 24 hour course would suit someone who has already taken 10 to 15 hours of driving lessons.
Day 1
On the first day, your instructor will assess your driving ability and identify any driving faults.
Day 2 and 3
These two days will be spent practicing usually in the area that the test is to be taken (in Suffolk, this will be Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds or Stowmarket) but we can arrange other test locations to suit yourself).
Day 4
The final day is your driving test. Your instructor will make sure that any last minute adjustment to your driving are made and that you are ready for your test.
Areas Covered
Whilst Justintensive covers the whole of mainland UK, we are based in Ipswich, Suffolk, and therefore specialise in providing intensive, semi-intensive and refresher driving lessons in the local areas (Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire).
If you are taking one of our driving courses in Suffolk, we are happy to coordinate lessons in your home town – for example, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Sudbury, Haverhill, Newmarket, Aldeburgh or Lowestoft – with driving experience in the area where your test will take place.
Suffolk driving test centres are located in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Lowestoft.
